GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina woman has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for running over and killing a man.

Media outlets reported that a Guilford County jury found 38-year-old Shenika Shamberger of Greensboro guilty of second-degree murder in the death of 40-year-old Marcus James McQueen.

Shamberger was sentenced to at least 23 years in prison, with a maximum of nearly 29 years. Prosecutors say she got into an argument with her neighbor and got into a pickup truck and ran over him in 2016.

Shamberger had been on trial on a first-degree murder charge, but the jury returned the lesser conviction.
