• Thanksgiving Day Parade marches in the holidays

The Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade in Uptown Charlotte has been part of Thanksgiving traditions in the Carolinas for generations.

Complete with dance and choral performances, marching bands from around the region, larger-than-life floats, balloons and some of your favorite characters, the parade is a great way to kick off the holiday season!

The 2017 parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23) on Tryon Street. The parade will march north on Tryon Street for nearly a mile.

The performance area will be at the Square, at Trade and Tryon Streets.

The parade is free event to attend, and there will be space along the route for those who want to bring a chair or blanket.

A limited number of reserved seats are available for purchase. Reserved seats in the first and second rows along the parade route between 4th and Trade Streets can be purchased for $20. Bleacher seating on the east side of Tryon Street at the Square (Trade and Tryon Streets) can be purchased for $15. Click here for more details or to purchase tickets.
