• South Carolina State Fair brings lots of fall fun


    Each October, people of all ages head to Columbia for the South Carolina State Fair, rated one of the Top 50 Fairs in the U.S.

    The Palmetto State's largest event offers a variety of family-oriented entertainment – enjoy mouth-watering food, thrilling rides and exciting entertainment and concerts.

    This year's Grandstand concert line-up includes Brothers Osborne (Oct. 11), Keith Sweat (Oct. 13), Chris Young (Oct. 16), TobyMac (Oct. 20) and Sabrina Carpenter (Oct. 22). Tickets for the concerts range from $15 to $30 and include fair admission.

    The rides offer a little something for everyone too, from the daring to the daunting, the slow to the fast, the fair has it all. And Kiddyland is sure to excite kids of all ages with rides from the gentle to a bit more adventurous.

    The S.C. State Fair runs Oct. 11-22. Tickets purchased at the gate cost $10. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Click here for more information on admission and ride tickets.
