• Ride high at North Carolina State Fair

The North Carolina State fairgrounds come alive every October with diverse and exciting entertainment.

In addition to new rides, vendors and attractions, for the first time, visitors to the 2017 N.C. State Fair will be able to purchase flights of beer and wine to sample. Forty breweries and 40 wineries from across the state will be showcased in the new Our State Public House.

To commemorate the 150th N.C. State Fair, there will be a special admission price and food specials on opening day. On Thursday, Oct. 12 admission to the fair will cost $1.50 (gates will open at 3 p.m. that day). In addition, numerous food vendors will offer items for $1.50 on kickoff day.

The N.C. State Fair runs Oct. 12-22 at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.

Admission at the gate cost $10 for adults and $5 for kids (ages 6-12). Children age 5 and under and seniors age 65 and up are admitted free. For more information on admission prices and ride tickets, click here.
