Silver Fork Vineyard and Winery in Morganton, N.C., not only offers great wine, but also unparalleled views. 

The tasting room is inviting with a rustic feel and open floor plan, so you don’t have to worry about feeling overcrowded during your tasting on busy days.

A walk-up patio bar adjacent to the main tasting room allows guests to order a glass or tasting flight without missing the scenery.

Take your pick of any of the winery’s eight Bordeaux style wines or order a flight for $7 and try them all!

Once you’ve made your selection, venture outdoors to take advantage of the beautiful landscaping and breathtaking views of the South Mountains.

Unwind in the large Adirondack chairs beside the fire pit and take in the tranquil atmosphere or stroll through five acres of vines that contain nine different varietals. Even on rainy days, Silver Fork’s covered porch offers a relaxing refuge for guests.

Wednesdays through Fridays, Silver Fork stays open until 7 p.m., giving anyone the perfect excuse to stop in for a drink after work.  Saturdays and Sundays they are open til 6 p.m., allowing plenty of time to pack a picnic and spend an entire day on the estate.

The winery also hosts a number of events that range from painting classes, to live music to their Movie Under the Star series.

The panoramic views from the vineyard are unbeatable. Just the views alone make the trip entirely worth it! So the wine is just an added bonus.
